Sakuraco Japanese Snack Box Review (April Box)
Fist of all, the delivery was fast, 5 days express delivery as stated in the company website.
The package is well designed and solid:
The box contains 14 different Japanese snacks (all Vegetarian Friendly unless two rice crackers snacks with shrimp flavor) , with one detailed snack guide, and one postal card.
The Snack Guide:
A very well designed manual that contains an introduction about the Sakura and cherry blossom arrival season plus all the informations about the snacks; allergens and more. It’s the first item you find once you open the box.
All snacks detailed ingredients are clearly mentioned on Sakuraco website, even before the shipping of the box, for each month. Existing and new customers can know exactly what the upcoming box will contain.
Now, let’s discover the box components:
1) Sakura Warabimochi (Sakura Jelly Dessert)
I liked the taste of this jelly, you can feel the nice sakura flavor, and the texture is great.
2) Sweet Sakura Tea (Nihon Ryokucha Center)
This tea contains real cherry blossoms that bloom in hot water, I couldn’t taste it, since it wasn’t on a tea bag, I wasn’t too exited about drinking flowers water tea directly.
3) Sakura Soft Chew
It’s a traditional Japanese sweet, cute cherry blossom flower shape, nice sweet taste.
4) Sakura Springtime Dish
6) Shiso Senbei
Pink rice crakers, sweet and salty nice taste, contain shiso leaves powdered with a Nanko pickled plum powder.
7) Sakura Leaf Senbei
My preferred snack so far in this month box, nice texture and great shrimp taste. These rice crackers are kneaded with salted cherry blossom leaves.
8) Sakura Mochi
9) Sakura Karinto
Sweet and a little salty wheat crackers with cherry blossom aroma, pink on the inside, fried from the outside, I wasn’t a fan of the taste so much
13) Ume Shio Rice Cracker
Tasty salty shrimp rice cracker
14) Sakura Cookies
A whole bag many pieces, nice sweet pink cookies made with cherry blossom.
This Sakuraco Japanese snack spring box testing was a good experience, I liked the different flavors and tastes from all the variety snacks.
I liked some snacks more than others, but in general, the quality was there.
If I have to give a mark per ten , it will be 7/10 for the overall aspects ( shipping, delivery, packaging, design, snacks choices and taste).
Cheers and see you soon in another review from JapanFoodStyle 😉
